Tim Perry joined Practical Law Australia in late 2016 initially as the head of the Corporate Team. At that time, he had more than 12 years' experience practising at leading law firms Gilbert+Tobin, DLA Piper and Mallesons Stephen Jaques (now King & Wood Mallesons). In his time as a corporate lawyer, Tim advised on public and private mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, joint ventures, restructures, capital raisings, privatisations and other government transactions, corporate governance, directors' duties and commercial contracts.
Zach Ratzman is Director of Product Management for Practical Law U.S., where he focuses on Practical Law for U.S. corporate legal departments, law firms, government agencies, and law schools. Zach joined Practical Law from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Office of the General Counsel in Washington, DC, where for nearly six years he advised senior DHS leadership on privacy, information sharing, and congressional oversight matters. Prior to that, Zach worked for a decade at several major New York City law firms, where his practice focused on securities fraud, commercial litigation, and white-collar criminal defense. Before entering private practice, he clerked for the late Honorable Harold Baer, Jr. in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York in Manhattan. Zach received his law degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School.
Sarah Jacobson is the Director of Knowledge Management at MinterEllison. Sarah is also a Co-Founder and Director of the Digital Law Association.
Formerly an M&A lawyer, Sarah has spent the last 6 years working in legal operations and knowledge management and is passionate about finding better ways to create, share, use and transfer knowledge through shifting cultural behaviours and digital transformation..
