Thomson Reuters appoints Vishal Bali as new Managing Director of Asia and Emerging Markets

SYDNEY, December 2, 2024 - Thomson Reuters (TSX/NYSE: TRI), a global content and technology company, today announced that Vishal Bali will be the next Managing Director of Asia and Emerging Markets, starting in January 2025. 

Vishal brings a wealth of experience in leading high-performing teams with a strong focus on data-driven strategies and a customer-centric mindset, honed from executive roles at GfK and Nielsen. With a career spanning multiple markets in Asia-Pacific, he possesses a deep understanding of the region’s unique opportunities and challenges, making him well-equipped to deliver impactful solutions and drive growth.

Adrian Fognini, Head of International at Thomson Reuters, shared that Vishal will oversee the growth strategy and execution for business operations in Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

This appointment follows the retirement of long-term Managing Director, Jackie Rhodes in September earlier this year. Jackie was responsible for leading the Asia and Emerging Markets team over the past five years, following a successful 10-year stint running the Thomson Reuters, Australia and New Zealand division.
