With more than 30 years of experience in both private and corporate legal practice, Simone’s expertise encompasses insurance, risk management, professional liability, dispute resolution, and privacy law. Simone specialises in supporting businesses’ cyber resilience through legal advisory and education services.

Simone founded Law & Cyber in 2018 to help empower Australian individuals and businesses to protect themselves from cybercrime. Simone has acted for individuals and businesses impacted by cyber events and email fraud including: advising on and defending claims against professionals arising from cyber events, data breaches and email fraud; advice on policy coverage under cyber insurance policies; obligations to clients; legal claims against a managed service provider and other professional services firms; and she has advised organisations on uplifting their cyber resilience profile including through increased contractual protections.

Simone regularly presents to businesses on cyber risk; she facilitates cyber incident tabletop exercises; and she has given expert written opinion in multi-million dollar Supreme Court proceedings involving allegations of email-enabled fraud. She is most proud of having educated more than 10,000 Australians about cyber risk.
